This Is How Cool I Am

This here is a mosaic of my favorite Disney people.

I was slightly bored after work yesterday. And after two hours of searching last night and two hours of blood, sweat, and tears (metaphorically... Sort of) this morning, I finally got it as close to perfect as possible. It needs a better Brer Bear's butt, and a better Pluto, and the name of the Fantasia pegasus, plus some SERIOUS rearranging (that's a fun word to type). All in all, I think it's a nice first draft. *pats self on back*

That is all mine followers. Have a magical day!! *shakes head* I can't believe I just said that...

The Last Two Weeks

I'm baaaaaaack!! I know you all missed me terribly.

So, the infamous family visit. It was AWESOME. Most excellent, indeed. They visited me at work TWICE, we spent a weekend in Tampa, we got my oil changed, it was good times. And the best part is: Evie* decided to stay permanently! You heard right! I'm complete again. *sigh* Let's start at the beginning.

When they got off the "magic bus" in their "magic underwear" (inside joke, that's for you, Mom) Evie was so freaked out by the bus that she didn't recognize me. But, I walked her away from the scary bus-monster and she looked at me and did a total double take! She then got all excited when she realized who I was. It was so funny. She did really well with the plane ride and the other events of the day, I was really proud of her.

Within the next few days we changed hotels, and then went to Epcot. Good times were had on my last day of the 50% off merchandise discount. Good times, indeed! I made Grandma get on Soarin, and she loved it. I knew she would. It's the best ride ever. EVER.

A few days after that we decided to head to Tampa, so I could have a mini vacation. We went to the zoo and the aquarium. While at said aquarium, we took the boat ride to see wild dolphins. SO AWESOME. They come right up to the boat and jump around and everything. It was definitely an experience. We loved it. So much. Glorious!

Once back in Orlando they came and saw me at dinner. Hence the above photo. It was really fun to have them there. They loved it so much, that they came again a few days later. It's so weird to have people I know watching me at work. For reals.

Later that week we went to Cocoa Beach and Jetty Park. Mom wanted to see the ocean. So we drove out there for a day. Evie wasn't sure if she liked the ocean or not... But we enjoyed it. On the side of the road, Mom saw an alligator and had to turn around, pull over and take a picture. Oi.

We also went to Magic Kingdom, were we got some lame-o Cinderella buttons and watched parades and fireworks. I feel the need to add here, that the good Captain (Captain Hook) shot me in the face during Spectro. Thanks a lot, Captain. Good form, indeed.

We also spent a day at the Ripley's Believe It or Not! museum. Kind of cool. I enjoyed it. I liked the secret camera stuff... So funny! So so funny!!

We spent their last day here at DAK and Studios. Grandma looked drunk on the safari and it was super duper hilarious. I lol just thinking about it. They had a rare experience too. The little giraffe stuck her head right in the jeep. Pretty cool, if you ask me. Studios was fun too. I have to say, that it's quite convenient having wheelchairs at a theme park. Front of the line in many cases. I don't like lines...

Then, sadly, they went home. BUT, Evie didn't. *happy dance* Yes!! She adjusting well, too. Maggie is a little upset. She keeps giving me this look of "Why did you bring THAT back?!" She getting used to her, though. So, all in all, the family visit was wonderful. And, Andrea gets here in like five days!! I'm so excited! I hope she has a good time. Many a Jellyrolls night will be had. Indeed!

In other news, there were even more family additions added during the past few weeks. Jenn and I acquired two all black chow chow puppies. They are oh so cute!! You just want to squeeze them. You know Elmira from "Tiny Toon Adventures"? It's like that. We have a boy and a girl. Osira is Jenn's little girl and my little boy is named Hades. They poop a lot.

Well, I guess that's been the last few weeks of insane-ness. Gotta love it.

Wouldn't I be an awesome Vampire/Lycan hybrid?! Yes... Yes I would.

Hello all. I just want to give you a little update on my life. Relax, it won't be a long post.

First of all I have started writing my book. It was my new year's resolution to get it outlined in some sort of organized fashion. Well, I've done more than that. I've created an entire world (complete with map, go me) with mythologies to it and everything. Not all of that has been recorded, only about half, but it will come. I've also written 3 1/4 chapters of the first book in the series. No, there is no title, yet. That'll be the hardest part, I think. I don't know... Anywho, it's off to a roaring start. It probably sucks (I usually hate my own writing) but we'll see down the road. The downfall is, it's consumed my ENTIRE life. I can't sleep, I can hardly eat, and any time there's a silent moment, I'm thinking about my book and the people in it. They're like my new friends... And I love them. They're pretty awesome people. A few of them are messed up, but awesome, none the less.

Let's see... What else...? Other than the book, not a lot is going on. Scheduling called me, and until May-ish I'll be five days a week in my dinner shift. *happy dance* This basically means (hopefully, knock on wood *knocks on head*) I won't be scheduled parade anymore. YES!! It also means I don't have to look for a new job until May-ish. Hooray for me. *sighs in relief*

Oh! Mom, Grandma, and Evie are coming to visit me the day after tomorrow!! *another happy dance* I am oh so excited about it! There may be a blogging hiatus for the next two weeks, while they're here (cause I blog every day, you know * makes sarcastic face*). I will be so happy when they finally get here! I even have a few vacation days while they're here, so I'll get to spend some real time with them. It'll be nice to see people from back home. I miss my peeps, I guess.

I saw the new Underworld movie today. I really liked it. It's not the best movie ever made, but I liked the style of it and how they did some of the stuff. Kudos to them. Not bad, my friends, not bad at all...

I got new curtains and a vacuum. Woo hoo.

On the sadder side of things, I believe a while ago I spoke of Taz and her ailing health. Well, it finally came time for Grandma and Grandpa to make the decision and put her to sleep. I know she's much happier now and we loved her so so so so so so much. She is missed terribly, though. She was an excellent addition to the family and will be an even greater loss. Rest well, Tazzy, we love you.

That's it for my life as of now. Go see Underworld Rise of the Lycans. Don't do drugs. That is all.

New Year...?

I'm not really sure how I feel about the new year so far. I've never been a fan of "new year's" in the first place. I sometimes wonder if the success of your year is dependent upon the awesomness of your new year's eve festivities. You see, new year's eve 2008 was AMAZING. Simply AMAZING. I mean... that was the birth of GONG and the night Danielle and I learned to time travel (you HAD to be there). Does it get any better than that?! No, my friends, it does not. Anywho, following the most wondrous 2008 celebration came one of the best years of my life. I did more in 2008 than I what I thought possible, some of those things I never thought I would be able to even attempt in my lifetime. It was a good year. 2008... The year of Kim.

Now, if my 2008 was a direct result of my fabulous new year's eve, I can only wonder of the horrors to come in 2009. My new year's eve consisted of me leaving a party in which I knew a total of two people by 10:45, hitting a poor innocent raccoon (who sadly didn't make it to see 2009) then, arriving home to see Jenn and her new boyfriend being all cuddly on the couch. I also feel the need to add that on Jenn's door her whiteboard said she was excited to celebrate naked new year's. What the crap is going to happen in my life while 2009 runs it's course?! Doom, impending doom. I'm just saying...

Anywho... I have been absent from my blog as some of you have noticed (Mom). So I suppose I'll enlighten you with my life as of late.

I am currently looking for new employment. No, I wasn't fired, I didn't quit, I wasn't laid off and NO, I'm NOT moving back home. My time with the company is quite possibly coming to an end and I think I'm alright with it. I'm feeling as if my life has reached a rut anyway. So, there you go.

What else...? Ah, yes. Mom and Grandma are visiting in 18 and a half days. Woot woot!! And then... (oh yes, it gets better) Andrea is visiting a week after that! AWESOME. In the words of Amanda: "fully awesome!" I really need them right now. I miss my fam. They're terrible and drive me crazy, but I love 'em.

*sigh*

We're not talking about 23 part deux at this time. So shut it.

OH! I have news that many people find exciting. I have finally consented to read Harry Potter. My first book is due in the post at any moment. I must say that I am excited, even though it goes against one of my "statements". I suppose I'll have to come up with a new "statement" to take it's place.

There it is. My new year so far. I guess after this it's not a new year, but just a year. I hope I'm wrong in my theory of "new year's eve success = success of new year" because that would suck for me. And for the raccoons.

What's a Girl to Do?

*sigh*

I'm in love. He's a pirate.

He's the captain. Not a bad position of rank, in case you were wondering. The man can dress, too. He dresses himself VERY well. He's tall... And an older gentleman. Wise and clever as well.  An honorable man, he is. Arrogant as all hell, but I love him for it. He's passionate, driven and focused. And brave... Oh so brave...

I guess you can I say I'm hooked...

The Effects of Coffee

I really should avoid the stuff, yet... The taste is so divine. I simply can't stop myself. I pay dearly, though. My mind finds coffee anything but divine. It thinks it pure anxiety fuel. And it is. Much to my dismay, coffee not only energizes me physically, but mentally and emotionally. Therefore, my thoughts are so many they are now spewing into my blog.

I'm still scared to death about what the future holds (or doesn't, for that matter). There are so many things I want to do. And so many of them I can't. It's devastating, really. I have no idea of my destiny, no idea of my fate, no idea of my path, calling or reason d'etre (ha! The Gods only know if I spelled that right in english). What I want to do most is either unavailable or I no longer have the ability. It's most disheartening. Speaking of heart... Mine is still broken. I suppose it's never healed. The pieces are scattered. Some pieces aren't even accessible. And it's Christmas, so it seems to be magnified. Bah!! No more on that.

As I was saying, some sort of decision needs to be made. I'm not going to be one who's life is Disney. It's just a job. I won't spend twenty years here. Nope. Not me. I'm well aware that I have just been complaining about all of this for some time now, but until mid January-ish there is nothing I can do. Oh... What to do...?

I'm watching Bedknobs and Broomsticks. It's cute.
