The Last Two Weeks

I'm baaaaaaack!! I know you all missed me terribly.

So, the infamous family visit. It was AWESOME. Most excellent, indeed. They visited me at work TWICE, we spent a weekend in Tampa, we got my oil changed, it was good times. And the best part is: Evie* decided to stay permanently! You heard right! I'm complete again. *sigh* Let's start at the beginning.

When they got off the "magic bus" in their "magic underwear" (inside joke, that's for you, Mom) Evie was so freaked out by the bus that she didn't recognize me. But, I walked her away from the scary bus-monster and she looked at me and did a total double take! She then got all excited when she realized who I was. It was so funny. She did really well with the plane ride and the other events of the day, I was really proud of her.

Within the next few days we changed hotels, and then went to Epcot. Good times were had on my last day of the 50% off merchandise discount. Good times, indeed! I made Grandma get on Soarin, and she loved it. I knew she would. It's the best ride ever. EVER.

A few days after that we decided to head to Tampa, so I could have a mini vacation. We went to the zoo and the aquarium. While at said aquarium, we took the boat ride to see wild dolphins. SO AWESOME. They come right up to the boat and jump around and everything. It was definitely an experience. We loved it. So much. Glorious!

Once back in Orlando they came and saw me at dinner. Hence the above photo. It was really fun to have them there. They loved it so much, that they came again a few days later. It's so weird to have people I know watching me at work. For reals.

Later that week we went to Cocoa Beach and Jetty Park. Mom wanted to see the ocean. So we drove out there for a day. Evie wasn't sure if she liked the ocean or not... But we enjoyed it. On the side of the road, Mom saw an alligator and had to turn around, pull over and take a picture. Oi.

We also went to Magic Kingdom, were we got some lame-o Cinderella buttons and watched parades and fireworks. I feel the need to add here, that the good Captain (Captain Hook) shot me in the face during Spectro. Thanks a lot, Captain. Good form, indeed.

We also spent a day at the Ripley's Believe It or Not! museum. Kind of cool. I enjoyed it. I liked the secret camera stuff... So funny! So so funny!!

We spent their last day here at DAK and Studios. Grandma looked drunk on the safari and it was super duper hilarious. I lol just thinking about it. They had a rare experience too. The little giraffe stuck her head right in the jeep. Pretty cool, if you ask me. Studios was fun too. I have to say, that it's quite convenient having wheelchairs at a theme park. Front of the line in many cases. I don't like lines...

Then, sadly, they went home. BUT, Evie didn't. *happy dance* Yes!! She adjusting well, too. Maggie is a little upset. She keeps giving me this look of "Why did you bring THAT back?!" She getting used to her, though. So, all in all, the family visit was wonderful. And, Andrea gets here in like five days!! I'm so excited! I hope she has a good time. Many a Jellyrolls night will be had. Indeed!

In other news, there were even more family additions added during the past few weeks. Jenn and I acquired two all black chow chow puppies. They are oh so cute!! You just want to squeeze them. You know Elmira from "Tiny Toon Adventures"? It's like that. We have a boy and a girl. Osira is Jenn's little girl and my little boy is named Hades. They poop a lot.

Well, I guess that's been the last few weeks of insane-ness. Gotta love it.
